Sometimes it is hard to believe if a person elected to office in this country is really serious when they shout out some wacko idea. That is the case with Georgia state Rep. Tommy Benton. Benton is a strong opponent of legalizing drugs. That is fine. It is in his constitutional right to believe and work towards that. However, it is not just that Benton opposes drugs. He hates drugs. He hates drug users to the extent that he believes American laws should violate the Eighth Amendment. “
